Pinch weld (winscreen frame) repair
Over the years, while replacing car windshields, we often had to face a situation where, cutting out the glass to be replaced, it turns out that the pinch weld is corroded. Such damage may have occurred both as a result of a previously technologically incorrect glass replacement process, and as a result of corrosion occurring "naturally" - as a result of external damage (for example, from pebbles) or internal - as a result of moisture caused by condensation. It is possible to glue the new glass on the corroded surface - the jamb - but it is technologically wrong, because it is only a matter of time when the glass will lose its tightness as the corrosion continues or will crack due to the pressure caused by the corrosion. If you have chosen our company to replace the glass, don’t worry - we will quickly and qualitatively repair the windshield frame, so that we can glue the new glass safely and with a guarantee. Depending on the extent and nature of the damage and the structure of the car roof, only pinch weld, frame and struts, pinch weld and the entire roof can be repaired. Ask our consultants what work needs to be done in each case and how much it will cost.
